A single application to discover, store and manage all IT assets. Euladox scans your network, recognises the hardware and the software licences on it, and keeps hardware, software, contracts and entitlements in one database, from deployment to disposal.
Rythium's own product, used by our licensing team in every managed SAM engagement.

Euladox ITAM is an enterprise application for IT operations: very deep IT asset management. It is built in modules: automated discovery of all IT assets, asset CMDB, software inventory, licence management, warranty and AMC, consumables and contracts.
Managers of IT infrastructure constantly need exact information on the location, identity and configuration of IT assets, hardware and software.
They also need the data on contracts, warranties, support agreements and budgets. An IT asset management process with an automated tool reduces the labour and the errors involved in meeting those needs. Euladox follows IAITAM, Gartner and ITIL practice for hardware assets, and IAITAM and Gartner for software assets.
The Discovery Satellite conducts agentless discovery of every asset in your enterprise network, on premises or in the cloud. The scan gives visibility of all assets, including the software deployed on them.
Euladox has agentless discovery as well as agent-based discovery. Agentless is preferred, since it brings agility and flexibility: the Discovery Satellite needs no client software on any device or system in the network. That makes it easier to implement, faster to discover and scalable from the smallest to the largest end-point populations. All credentials and firewall rules stay local to you and under your control.
The key protocols for network scan and discovery are WMI (Windows devices), SSH (Linux and Unix devices) and SNMP (network devices). Beyond these, Euladox uses specific adaptors for Oracle Database, Oracle Middleware, IBM MQ, IBM DB2, MS SQL Server, VMware vCenter and more.
Native deploymentEuladox does not depend on any third-party scanning software for collection of network inventory data.
Multi-protocol discoveryEuladox scans and discovers all networked devices: computers, network printers, routers, switches and more.
Multi-segment & location discoveryThe Discovery Satellite works in online and offline modes, so every combination of network architecture can be discovered.
Native adaptorsActive Directory, VMware, Hyper-V, Xen Server, OVM, Oracle technology products, IBM MQ, DB2, MS SQL Server.
Real-time reportingDiscovery completion and error reports for monitoring and troubleshooting.
TroubleshootingTools for troubleshooting access issues.
For scheduled discovery and application metering, the Rythium Discovery Agent is installed on each Windows machine and reports back:
Euladox discovers the software installed across all your systems, visualises your deployment architecture, entitlements and contracts, applies the licensing rules and generates your compliance reports. You get visibility and control of software assets through their whole life-cycle, lower costs and the most from what you have bought.
The Discovery Satellite scans the network without agents and returns every asset, including deployed software.
Raw install and usage data becomes standard, consistent information: out-of-the-box recognition from an extensive software catalogue, then Rythium's signature recognition service for anything left unmatched.
Installed software is grouped the way publishers license it: suites, sales bundles, volume licensing rights, upgrade and downgrade rights, prerequisites; and marked commercial, open-source or free.
Deployments are compared with entitlements from contracts, ordering documents and payment confirmations to produce the Effective License Position.
Effective License PositionThe ELP compares deployed software with the licences you have procured. The term comes from Microsoft's SAM practice and has become the de facto standard for compliance reporting.
Vendor-specific reportsSome publishers have their own ways of reading deployment, usage and compliance. Euladox has specially designed reports, views and dashboards for Oracle, VMware and Red Hat.
Datacenter softwareA server catalogue covering machines built since 2002 by IBM/Lenovo, HP, Dell, Cisco, Sun/Oracle, Fujitsu and Nutanix, with processors from Intel, AMD, IBM, Sun/Oracle and HP mapped in full.
Licence normalisationBuilt-in algorithms for Oracle technology products, Oracle EBS, Windows Server, SQL Server, VMware, RHEL, Citrix Xen Server and OEL.
Software meteringUsage by host from the agentless scan (how often each executable ran, and when it last ran), or continuous metering with the Discovery Agent.
Contracts & purchase ordersMaster licensing agreements, addendums and schedules, ordering documents, purchase orders, maintenance and support agreements, with key dates, alerts and every paper and digital contract in one repository.
EntitlementCatalogue definitions of licensable SKUs (product, version and edition), suites, packs and bundles, upgrades, downgrades and cross-edition migration, matched to the proofs: contracts, ordering documents, payment confirmations.
Oracle JavaEuladox discovery finds every Oracle Java installation on desktops, servers and virtual machines, with the version details that decide whether a licence is needed.
Publisher audits make it essential to know your licence position at all times. Not knowing brings legal, financial, reputational and business-continuity risk, and costly software left unused. Our Oracle licensing services use the same data.
Most inventory scanners return raw data with scant information about servers and desktops, which says little about the software licensing potential and risk attached to them. Euladox takes a different approach. Its hardware catalogue covers all servers (Intel, AMD and RISC) built since 2002, all virtualization technologies and hypervisor versions, and all Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris, HP-UX and macOS versions, so assets are recognised without error and the deployed licence position is exact.
Centralized IT inventoryEvery asset discovered on the network in one database. View the raw data of discovered devices, or the normalised information after asset recognition, across more than 50 reports and views with filters.
Asset modellingAssets that cannot be discovered, or are not yet in the hardware catalogue, can be modelled by hand, so any kind of asset in the organisation can be managed.
Asset user linkageAutomated and manual mapping of users to devices and systems, so asset ownership is tracked. It is key to better incident management and ticket resolution.
Warranty & AMCEvery annual maintenance contract tracked against its asset, with reminders by email and in the system.
Notifications and alertsEmail notifications and alerts for any event, for example an AMC payment or the end of a true-up negotiation.
Asset CMDBEach asset is recorded as a configuration item with its relationships and dependencies, and every change to it is tracked over time.
The ITAM database tracks and reports on the physical, financial and contractual data of every IT asset through its life-cycle, from deployment to retirement. In Euladox it works like a CMDB where ITAM data and asset CI data meet: one database for asset and CI data, so there is no separate product to buy or to train people on.
Managing Active Directory through the native console and PowerShell needs deep knowledge of AD, and changes are slow and error-prone. Euladox AD Manager simplifies and automates the routine work: view, manage and analyse your directory in an easy interface, with bulk transactions and several people working at once.
A large set of pre-built reports, each a click away, for management decisions and compliance reporting, and a dashboard of OUs, users, computers and groups with drill-down.
AD users and IT assets are managed in Euladox with a single sign-in.
Good security needs reliable discovery and inventory, which are the foundations of IT asset management. The CIS Controls from the Center for Internet Security begin with inventory.
Inventory, track and correct every hardware device on the network.
Actively manage all software on the network, so that only authorised software is installed.
Protect the organisation's information, and its reputation, with an incident response infrastructure.
We deliver SAM and HAM managed services on Euladox. The service builds a trustworthy dataset, develops and maintains your licence positions, and finds the savings across every publisher and every program deployed in your organisation. Still choosing a tool? Our SAM tools comparison sets Euladox beside nine others.
A baseline inventory and Effective License Position review is the start of a compliant, optimised licence position: asset discovery and inventory, entitlement and contracts analysis and ELP generation, for chosen publishers or for every program you run.
An outsourced contract manager who keeps every IT contract accurate and reported: record all IT contracts in Euladox; create a digital repository of physical contracts; set up notifications and alerts for contract events and SLAs, such as expiry and renewal dates; update the records whenever you buy new goods or services; collect and provide the data for negotiating new agreements.
Our premium managed service. We set up and run your SAM processes, keep you updated on deployment and compliance, flag and follow up non-compliance, and give the legal and audit defence advice when a publisher asks for a licence review.
See how the service runs on the Managed SAM Services page. Apart from managed SAM, we provide Oracle LMS services.
We'll conduct discovery, build your Effective License Position across every priority publisher, and run the governance loop, independently, with no vendor on the other side of our fee.
