License Management Analyst

Lead the consulting engagement for multiple customers

Conduct internally initiated software compliance reviews and audits for our clients

Accountable for developing and maintaining a complete and detailed SW assets inventory for the customer

Own and manage license compliance for multiple Tier 1 and Tier 2 publishers.

Monitor project progress till customer sign off.

Provide subject matter expertise to customers in understanding their software license compliance positions.

Deliver pre-sales presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers

Develop new solutions for customers and markets.

Whitepaper and marketing collateral content writing.

Thorough knowledge on Software License Management Methods and GAP analysis skills.

High level of proficiency and knowledge of software licensing across key publishers

Mandatory Licensing knowledge of the following publishers: Microsoft, Adobe, Red Hat, VMware

Mandatory Licensing knowledge of the following publishers: Microsoft, Adobe, Red Hat, VMware

Technically should be able to comprehend the licensing models, licensing terms, license metrics, license accounting, bundles, legacy upgrade products, EOL and EOS products

Knowledge of master software license agreements, EULAs, license and support renewal process.

Understand and up to date with technology concepts related to software licensing including – SaaS, Cloud, Virtualization, Hardware platform, workstation and server etc.

Ability to convert software deployment and entitlement data to meaningful information for business units and other stakeholders.

Must have experience of creating organization wide License Baseline including spend

Good understanding on Contract Management.

Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills to effectively translate complex information.

Basic technology skills on different hardware architectures, operating system platforms, IT network and database management systems.

Understanding SQL Queries, Running of Windows & Linux Scripts. You will not be required to run these, but a broad understanding is essential for the role.

Strong documentation and a disciplined, process-oriented approach to tasks

Advanced skills in Excel.

Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills to effectively translate complex information.

Work well under pressure and managing multiple priorities and/or projects.

Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment

7+ years’ experience in Software Asset Management and licensing

2+ years’ in direct ownership of SAM services delivery
