Discovery & System Administrator

Conduct hardware and software asset discovery in complex distributed virtual environments.

Run discovery tools, scripts and agents remotely on all systems in a network.

Administer a Linux Red Hat RHCE and Microsoft Windows environment.

Install, support, test, and troubleshoot applications.

Provide customer support by phone, email and remote assistance

Create knowledge base articles to document solutions and share them with the team.

Lead the consulting engagement for multiple customers

Linux system administration skills (desired: Red Hat Linux RHCE)

Windows system administration skills (desired: Microsoft Windows 2019, 2016, and 2012)

Extensive knowledge of user account administration (Active Directory/ Azure Active Directory)

Experience with configuration management tools such as Intune, WSUS, SCCM, Group Policy, etc

Strong knowledge of Networking Concepts, DNS, and DHCP.

Virtualization experience (desired: VMware, Hyper-V)

Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery

Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management

Extensive PowerShell and Shell script knowledge.

Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language

Good Excel skills

5+ years’ experience in Windows & Linux System Administration

Windows or Linux Certification (preferred)
